At its heart, Tonik is a design collective. Our inaugural collection was crafted by award-winning industrial designer Karim Rashid, we maintain an in-house team of brilliant minds at Planet 9 Studio, and we’re dedicated to working with the world’s most talented industrial designers to produce elegant and eye-catching furniture.

Karim Rashid

Chances are you’ve seen Karim Rashid’s work. As popular as he is prolific, Karim has more than 3,000 designs brightening up the world, earning him nearly 300 awards in the process. He infuses his work with the kind of playful energy that we find irresistible, and we’re excited to share it with you.

Nicholas Baker

Nicholas Baker is an American designer well-known for his delightful designs and experiments with emerging technology. Baker was inspired by the idea of creating a chair that can be recognized solely by its silhouette, so he turned to VR technology and Gravity Sketch software to bring his concept to life. Starting from a singular plane, Baker used a VR headset to push and pull the surfaces until he obtained the sinuous and fluid shape that would become Super Chair.
