Tonik Wins Prize from Internationally Recognized Design Awards

Tonik is pleased to announce that it has been recognized for its innovative furniture that pushes boundaries, connects people and sets the scene for life’s best moments. Recently, the company won a Good Design Award for its Riptide Series, which includes a bench, chair and wedge that allow for endless configurations that create playful and interactive areas inside or out.

“Riptide may not necessarily be our signature series,” Brad Karl, Tonik Marketing Manager, said. “But it’s definitely one of our most popular and one that attracts heaps of attraction due to the fact that there are literally hundreds of potential configurations.”

Riptide is:

  • Made of one-piece, rotationally molded, specially formulated, high-impact polyethylene.
  • FDA approved and GREENGUARD Gold Certified.
  • Enhanced with a UV-resistant formulation suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

According to its press release, “GOOD DESIGN® is the world’s most prestigious, recognized, and oldest Design Awards program organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.”

Additionally, “For 2018, over 900 new products and graphic designs were selected from over 47 countries for new electronics, transportation, medical equipment, protective equipment, energy systems, robotics and bionics, building products/materials, furniture, textiles, industrial, environments, hardware, bath and accessories, kitchen/appliances, floor and wallcovering, tabletop, household products, personal, office products, transportation, children’s products, sports and recreation, lighting, tools, and graphics, branding, and packaging from Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
